Attorney Paul Odegaard Selected for the 2020 Best Lawyers in America

Attorney Odegaard was selected because of his extensive work in worker's compensation law on behalf of claimants, which he has been working in since he earned his law degree. Those recognized by Best Lawyers, a peer review website for legal professionals, were evaluated on multiple levels and chosen by a competitive selection process.

Best Lawyers conducts peer review surveys each year to find the best lawyers in each field. To be chosen, lawyers are first nominated, peer reviewed based on the quality of their work, then evaluated by Best Lawyers based on the collected feedback. Lastly, Best Lawyers checks the eligibility and standing of each selected attorney, ensuring he or she is in good standing with any applicable local bar associations. The selected lawyers are then informed of their inclusion in their respective Best Lawyers lists and asked to participate as peer reviewers.

Much of Attorney Paul D. Odegaard's family were farmers, giving him a deep respect for workers harmed or otherwise mistreated by big corporations and insurance companies. He first began working civil litigation cases in the field of workers' compensation in 1999, which he continued to do until 2008 when he started his own practice, which later merged to form Odegaard Injury Lawyers.

Still working in workers' compensation, Paul D. Odegaard focused on personal injury and wrongful death cases pertaining to worker's compensation, as well as defective product cases or negligence. It was during this time that Attorney Odegaard became particularly interested in working with victims of workplace injury in the Bakken oil fields of the Williston Basin.
