Client injured his neck at work. The workers' compensation insurer denied liability, claiming that the client did not timely report the injury and the reported mechanism of injury could not have caused the injury to his neck. We sent the client to an orthopedic surgeon for a consultation and causation opinion. Ultimately, we forced the insurer to pay for the neck surgery and pay wage loss benefits for over a year while the client recovered from surgery. We settled his claim for a significant value and facilitated his efforts to apply for and ultimately obtain social security disability benefits.
